It is run by the Fritidsgårdar Foundation, a non-profit organisation based on Christian principles. The campsite has 30 pitches with electricity for caravans and motorhomes. Camping is also possible, with a couple of pitches having access to electricity. You can use the toilet, shower and kitchen facilities in the service building, which also has a spacious kitchen where several people can cook at the same time. You will also find several stoves, washing-up facilities, fridge, freezer and microwave. Access to latrine and grey water emptying is available and can be done adjacent to the service building. For those who wish to do laundry, there is a laundry room in the service building. The laundry room can be booked at the reception.

Strandgården is located on a headland in Vilshärad with the sea as its nearest neighbour. The beach directly adjacent to the campsite is a long sandy beach with good swimming facilities for the whole family. The area is also one of the best windsurfing spots on the west coast, something you absolutely must try when you stay here. SUP and wave boards are available for hire including wetsuits, which are available in a limited number of sizes at the Ohana surf shop. Bicycles are also available for hire. The campsite also has a restaurant kiosk, its own bakery, conference room and church which is open all summer. During the summer months there is a full programme of services, devotions, family activities, concerts, children's and teenagers' clubs, art exhibitions and various theme weeks. The popular Strandgården restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week during the summer. You can enjoy the delicious food together with a fantastic view of the sea wherever you sit in the restaurant. During the warm summer days and evenings, there is plenty of space on the lovely veranda overlooking the bay of Vilshärad and the mythical Kattegat. You can also order lunch of the day, sandwiches & salads as take-away. At the kiosk, guests and beachgoers can buy ice cream, soft drinks, crisps and treats. The ice cream selection is something out of the ordinary, with 24 flavours to choose from. You are sure to find new and old favourites. If you want to go on excursions, the area offers great opportunities. Halmstad, one of Sweden's most popular summer towns, is 1 mile away with restaurants, shopping and attractions.
