Piilijärvi Camping

Between Kiruna and Gällivare, beautifully situated in the northern countryside, surrounded by forest, mountains and nature, you will find Piilijärvi Camping. Here you will find a hospitality and relaxed atmosphere that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else. There are pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents and 2 comfortable cabins available all year round. During the summer there are six cabins for rent in different standards and sizes. All accommodations have a private parking space right outside the door and a private furnished patio with lake view. The service building just around the corner has a shower, toilet and washing machine.

The mighty landscape of vast forests, high mountains, babbling rivers and calm lakes invites you to fantastic hiking areas where you can discover things on your own and create memories for life. Fish, pick mushrooms and berries in the wilderness and let nature be your own pantry. Boat, canoe, hike, bike or ski in this magical landscape and experience the world-famous midnight sun and northern lights depending on the time of year you are here. There is also a wood-fired beach sauna where you can end your days together with a dip in the lake. Piilijärvi's cultural history permeates the entire operation. The highly revered and mythical Piili-Einari and Eva-Lisa the gunpowder gum are just some of Piilijärvi's historical riches. So are the Stone Age sites.

Piilijärvi Camping is open all year round. Depending on when you visit the campsite, the range of accommodation types varies. Parts of the campsite are adapted for the disabled. The entire area is smoke-free. Dogs are allowed on the campsite. The nearest airport is Kiruna Airport, which is 60 km from the campsite. The nearest grocery store is in Svappavaara (16.5 km) and Skaulo (18 km) away. We therefore recommend buying everything you might need for your stay.
