About the campsite

Norrtälje Camping is located in the middle of cosy Roslagen in a beautiful natural environment. Despite its rural location, the campsite is close to the amenities of city life. The proximity to the cosy small town of Norrtälje with all its cafés and shops makes this campsite a popular destination with many returning visitors. Norrtälje Camping has over 100 camping pitches for you to stay here with your motorhome, caravan or pitch your tent.

The cottage village consists of 10 cottages, 5 of which were newly built in 2016. All cottages are equipped with a kitchen where you will find a fridge, coffee maker, microwave and basic kitchen utensils. Bed linen and towels can be rented at the reception. The service building at the campsite is well maintained and offers shower, toilet and laundry facilities.

Within walking distance of the campsite there is a lovely sandy beach with a waterslide, this together with the playground at Norrtälje Camping is one reason why the children like it here so much. The kiosk at the campsite sells coffee, soft drinks, sweets and ice cream. In the summer, the staff organizes scavenger hunts, treasure hunts and fun games to entertain adults and children alike. Evenings at Norrtälje Camping are quiet and peaceful. Many choose to barbecue and enjoy the simple life.

For those who are active and want to see around the area, Vigelsjö Nature Reserve is right next to the campsite. The nature reserve offers beautiful culture, exercise trails, fishing, ski trails and a slalom run depending on when in the year you visit Norrtälje Camping. Norrtäljeån, which is the link between Lake Lommaren and the sea, attracts fishermen from all over Sweden and Europe for a few weeks each year with its sea trout fishing, which is widely known.

If you want to use the sauna, it is possible to book it as a guest.

If you want to go to Norrtälje you can walk along the water from the campsite. It takes only 20 minutes to the city centre. In this idyllic small town you will find everything you need. In the centre there is a nice selection of restaurants, bars, cafés and shops. If you wish to visit one of the popular attractions the town has to offer is the Pythagoras Industrial Museum,

Vikingabyn Storholmen, Norrtälje Kunsthall and Norrtälje Luftvärnsmuseum are four different museums that are all worth a visit. Norrtälje Distillery, Penningby Castle 10, Arholma Battery and Samstorp Farm are other attractions that can be found.

In the city centre there are also express buses directly to Stockholm city centre for those who are keen on city shopping and sightseeing. It is almost as far to visit Uppsala, which is about 72 km from Norrtälje.

Good to know

Norrtälje Camping is open all year round. The campsite is open with full service between 15 June - 9 August. The reception is open between 09:00 - 18:00 during this period. The gate to the campsite is closed between 22:00 - 06:00. WiFi is available on site. Dogs are welcome!
