Hemlunda Camping

Hemlunda Camping is the small campsite with a big heart. With its location by a small idyllic bathing lake next to Bergsviken with a fantastic nature, this is a popular choice for families with children, nature lovers and dog owners.

The facility has about fifty camping pitches and tent sites, each with its own unique character.

The fresh service building has a shower, toilet and access to a kitchen. There are also laundry facilities.

Many Pite residents call this little gem "Pottan" because of the lake that is adjacent to the campsite. Many claim that the design of the lake resembles a pot.

Hemlunda Camping is mainly known for its popular bathing area. Warm water, a nice jetty and perfect shallowness mean that many people visit this beach during the summer. The campsite also has barbecue facilities if you want to brighten up a lovely day at the beach with some grilled food.

A kiosk is also located in the area that serves everything from cool drinks, ice cream and light food and snacks.

If you want to get into town for some pulse, you can do it easily via the Öholmabron. The bridge is often referred to as "Piteå's own Golden Gate bridge" and is an experience in itself. Piteå is a lovely summer town that attracts lots of tourists every year. In addition to its annual events such as Piteå Summer Games, Pite Dances and Smiles, Nolia Fair and Öjeby Church Market, this is a city with several attractions, activities and restaurants. Here, fine dining is interspersed with a varied range of cozy lunch restaurants. Pitepalten is known all over Sweden and originates from here.

You will also find a varied range of shopping if you are looking for souvenirs as a memory or gifts for loved ones.

The Piteå archipelago is definitely worth a visit. It has no less than 550 islands and is like a whole world to discover. There is everything from picturesque fishing villages, stone labyrinths, ancient forests and shallow sandy beaches. Did you know that many parts of Piteå often have the highest water temperatures in the country?

This is just a small selection of what Piteå and the campsite offer during the summer.

The campsite is open from May 15 - September 10 with full service during the same period. the facility is adapted for the disabled. Dogs are welcome in the area but not on the beach.
