General booking conditions

Thank you for using Campcation. We give you, the user, the opportunity to discover Europe through the best possible booking and information portal. Campcation offers direct booking possibilities in several languages, complete campsite information, reviews from several independent sources and a personalized service. Thank you for using Campcation!

These general terms and conditions (the "Terms") apply between you ("you") and Scandinavian Camping Group AB with corporate identity number 556867-9129 ("we" or "us"), the operator of the Campcation site (Campcation). We act as a broker of accommodation and are not responsible for the performance of the service. The contract for the actual provision of the Accommodation is concluded between you and the lessor concerned (the "Service Provider"). In addition to these conditions of use of Campcation, the Service Provider's booking conditions for the Accommodation apply.

Bookings via Campcation can only be made by you who have read the General Booking Conditions and accepted them unconditionally. You cannot finalize the booking without having accepted the conditions. You undertake to fulfill the obligations set out in the conditions. The agreement between you and Campcation comes into force as soon as Campcation has sent you a written confirmation of the booking by e-mail. It is recommended that you save and/or print a copy of these General Booking Conditions as a reference when making your booking. Campcation reserves the right to modify these General Booking Conditions at any time. You undertake to respect and comply with the terms and conditions in force from time to time for camping bookings via Campcation.

We only act as an accommodation provider. The accommodation is provided by the service provider indicated in the booking confirmation. We are therefore not responsible for the performance of the contract. We disclaim liability for any booking errors that occur at Campcation due to circumstances beyond our control. Campsites and other Suppliers providing products and services to Campcation are independent suppliers and are not to be considered employees or agents of Campcation, or its partners and/or Suppliers. Campcation and its partners are not liable for the acts, errors or omissions, representations, warranties, breach of contract or negligence of Suppliers or for any personal injury, death, property damage or other damages and expenses incurred as a result thereof. Campcation and its partners are not liable and have no obligation to provide compensation for delays, cancellations, overbookings, strikes, force majeure or other circumstances beyond Campcation's immediate control. Campcation is also not responsible for additional expenses, delays, diversions or actions by government or authorities. In no event shall Campcation, its partners and/or Suppliers be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of Campcation, or for any delay or inability to use Campcation, or for any information, software, products and services obtained through Campcation. This applies regardless of the basis on which such liability is based. The disclaimers and limitations of liability in these General Booking Conditions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these General Booking Conditions shall limit or exclude our liability for fraud on our part or for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.

A confirmation of your booking, containing important information such as the description of the campsite booked and price information, will be sent to you by email. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of the booking, you should contact Campcation directly by phone, chat or email.

The right of withdrawal under the Act (2005:59) on distance contracts and contracts outside business premises is exempt in the case of contracts for accommodation, lodging or leisure activities and thus you cannot cancel a contract for the rental of a pitch for a tent, caravan and motorhome.

In accordance with Campcations' cancellation policy, you are entitled to free cancellations up to 2 days prior to the check-in date. In such cases, you will receive a full refund minus "taxes and fees," which amount to approximately 10-15% of the total amount. If you choose to cancel the accommodation after this time frame (0-2 days before the check-in date), the full accommodation fee will be charged. If the campsite does not provide the services agreed in the booking, Campcation is not responsible for any costs incurred due to relocation. If you do not check in for the first night of the booking but plan to check in for subsequent nights of the booking, you must confirm the booking directly with the campsite by the original check-in date to prevent the cancellation of the entire booking.

To book/contract with us you must be 18 years old. Identification may be required upon arrival. Compliance with the age limit is required to gain access to the pitch. By accepting these terms and conditions, you warrant that you are over 18 years of age.

We are not responsible for errors in the information material consisting of descriptive texts, images, facilities, site information and bookable items. Through Campcation, the Service Providers offer their services and are responsible for ensuring that these are presented correctly.

We act only as an intermediary and are not a party to the contract between the Provider and you. Any errors or deficiencies in the agreed service should therefore be complained directly to the supplier.

The agreement between you and Campcation, including but not limited to these General Booking Conditions, is governed by Swedish law. The Swedish court is competent to hear and decide any disputes arising from the interpretation of the agreement and/or the general booking conditions.

We are responsible for processing the personal data you provide in connection with booking a pitch (such as name, address and telephone number). We will process the personal data in order to administer the booking and payment, marketing and to otherwise be able to fulfill our obligations and safeguard rights under the agreements entered into with you. The data may be disclosed to debt collection companies, authorities/courts for collection, determination and fulfillment of your contractual obligations. The Swedish court is competent to hear and decide any disputes arising from the interpretation of the agreement and/or the general booking conditions. Upon written request, they may inspect the data recorded, information on how it is used and the source of the data.
